Summer STEM Teacher Temporary

We are seeking a passionate and innovative STEM Teacher to design and deliver interactive lessons in at least one of the following: 3D printing/animation/Minecraft-based learning/Scratch coding/LEGO robotics for K-8 students for our summer program. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore engineering, coding, and digital creativity while fostering a love for technology and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development & Instruction
• Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate STEM lessons incorporating 3D printing, animation, Minecraft education, and LEGO robotics(optional).
• Foster a hands-on, project-based learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
• Adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including differentiated instruction and scaffolding.
• Technology & Classroom Management
• Teach students how to use 3D printers, animation software (e.g., Blender, Scratch), Minecraft
• Education Edition, and LEGO robotics kits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot classroom technology, including 3D printers, robotics kits, and computers/tablets.
• Ensure students follow safety protocols when working with STEM equipment.
• Academic Curriculum Development and Support (For Full-Time Only)
• Design and deliver academic enrichment (Math/ELA) for one age group students
• Provide individual help and support for students targeting their weakness
• Create an engaging and fun academic learning environment with more interactive projects and activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience teaching K-8 students in a hands-on, technology-driven learning environment.
• Proficiency with at least one of the following:
• 3D modeling and printing (Tinkercad, Fusion 360, etc.)
• Animation software (children-friendly) (Scratch, Pivot, Blender, Adobe Animate, etc.)
• Minecraft Education Edition for coding and problem-solving
• LEGO robotics (Spike Prime)
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage students with hands-on learning.
• Enthusiasm for STEM education and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with coding (Python, Scratch, JavaScript, etc.).
• Knowledge of design thinking and engineering concepts for young learners.
• Prior experience leading STEM clubs, after-school programs, or competitions.
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a plus

• From June 30th to August 22nd afternoon schedule
• Job Types: Contract, Internship
• Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
