Summer School Elementary Teachers (K-4th Grade) Temporary

East St Louis School District 189 is seeking qualified Summer School Elementary Teachers for Annette Officer and Dr. Katie Harper-Wright Elementary Schools. This temporary summer school position does not guarantee permanent employment for the 2025-2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Valid Illinois Teaching License with an endorsement in Elementary Education
• Highly Qualified status in Self-Contained K-9
• Satisfactory evaluations for the past two years
• Strong knowledge of current instructional and curricular methodologies
• Average daily attendance of greater than 93% during the regular school term
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Must not exceed the 3% salary cap
• District 189 teaching staff have selection priority based on a point system outlined in Article XVII of the 1220 Agreement
