Summer School ELA Teacher (Grades 5-9) Part Time Temporary NEW
South Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated ELA Teacher for our Summer School Program. This is a great opportunity to support students in strengthening their English Language Arts skills in an engaging and supportive environment.
Location: South Middle School
Dates: June 2 – June 26, 2025
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:15 AM – 11:45 AM (4.5 hours per day)
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid ELA Teaching Certification (Grades 5-9)
- Must be available for all 16 days of the summer school program
- Required to attend a staff work day on the Monday prior to the start of summer school
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging ELA instruction to middle school students
- Develop and implement interactive lesson plans that reinforce key reading and writing skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success
