Summer Learning Elementary Teacher Full Time Temporary NEW

Wayzata Public Schools is hiring Summer Learning Teachers for Camp Explore (Grades K-4). This position involves teaching English Language Arts and mathematics in the mornings and leading hands-on choice camps in the afternoons.

Location: Gleason Lake Elementary School

Dates: June 13 (prep day) & June 16 – July 24 (no school June 19, June 30 – July 4)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM

Compensation:

BA: $39.95/hour
MA: $44.07/hour

Responsibilities:

• Teach English Language Arts and math to K-4 students
• Foster a positive, engaging classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Establish strong rapport with students, parents, and staff
• Lead afternoon choice camps (submit camp name/description with application)
• Collaborate with colleagues for student success

Qualifications:

• Valid MN Teaching License
• Experience with differentiated instruction for diverse learners
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Proficiency in technology for communication and student progress monitoring
