Summer Camp Lead Teacher Full Time Temporary

The Ithaca Waldorf School is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and motivated Lead Teacher for our summer programs, offered one for ages 4-6 and the other for ages 7-12.

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
• Facilitate outdoor play and visits to The Farm
• Plan and lead age-appropriate games and hand-craft activities
• Ensure the classroom remains clean and orderly at the end of each day
• Adapt to outdoor conditions, as most activities take place outside in all weather

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Enthusiastic, organized, and motivated
• Friendly, warm, and joyful demeanor
• Experience working with children

Work schedule:

• 5 days/week, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• June 16 – August 9 (excluding the week of July 4th)
• 6 weeks total – applicants may choose their availability

Compensation is $21-25/hour for the Lead Teacher position.
