Summer 2025 Camp Teacher Part Time Temporary

University High School of Indiana seeks dynamic teachers to teach summer enrichment camps to elementary and middle school students during the summer of 2025. These camps tend to be weeklong half-day courses, in the morning or afternoon between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Full-day camps are also possible. The teacher will have the freedom to develop content/curriculum for a camp that would appeal to this age level.

Summer Camp Teacher Job Responsibilities:

• Plans, leads, and implements camps for children grades K-8.
• Provides high-quality educational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for participants.
• Supervises students and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
• Maintains a schedule for participants.
• Facilitates and creates lesson plans for daily activities.
• Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including check-in and check-out of students and daily attendance.
• Knows and understands all emergency procedures and safety guidelines associated with the school.
• Demonstrates alignment with the core values of University High School.

Please note: This is not a full-time summer job but one that offers teachers the opportunity to make extra income in a flexible and fun way. Prospective teachers propose camps for as little as one half-week or as long as all day for six weeks. But only camps that attract a minimum threshold of campers within a few weeks before the camp commences are held, and teachers are only paid for camps that run. Additionally, all teachers must complete a background check.
