Summer Kindergarten Prep Teacher Full Time Temporary

Duties:

• Develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum for kindergarten students
• Create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development
• Provide individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and events
• Utilize technology and other resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior

Skills:

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
• Knowledge of curriculum development principles and practices
• Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
• Ability to administer educational assessments and analyze student data to inform instruction
• Experience in education administration, such as coordinating school-wide initiatives or leading professional development sessions
• Proficiency in tutoring students in various subjects, including literacy education
• Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning, resource management, and record-keeping
• Ability to mentor and support students’ social-emotional development
• Knowledge of library services to promote literacy and a love for reading among students
