9th Grade Summer Launch Teacher Temporary

Saber Launch is a 4-week summer program designed to provide an extra boost for our rising 9th grade students to successfully transition into Shakopee High School. Students will engage in social-emotional learning, math concepts, and strategies for school success. Students who complete this program will earn one elective credit toward their High School diploma.

Program Dates/Times:
July 7th – Aug 7th (M-TH)
Student Hours: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Positions Description:

If you are looking for a summer teaching position that will empower you to spend significant time with students strengthening beliefs and skills that will positively impact future learning you should consider applying for one of these positions. We are looking for licensed educators in Math, and English, as well as any educators who have a strong passion for social-emotional learning. We encourage social workers and counselors to consider applying.

Required Qualifications:

• Understanding of working with at-risk and/or struggling learners
• A commitment to student success
• Ability to form relationships with students and families in a short period of time
• Belief system (demonstrated in words and actions) that all students can learn and be successful

• Accountability and reliability

Working Conditions: Classroom environment.

Pay Rate: $32/hr
