Position Overview:

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School is seeking a Grade 1 Summer Learning Program Teacher to provide math and literacy support to a small group of approximately 10 rising 1st graders. This role includes instructional planning, student engagement, and progress monitoring with the support of an associate teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective small-group math and literacy instruction.
• Run a daily homeroom and morning meeting (8:00–8:30 AM).
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed.
• Oversee snack, lunch, and dismissal routines.
• Communicate student progress with families.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven ability to deliver effective small-group instruction in math and literacy.
• Ability to analyze student learning data and adjust teaching accordingly.
• Strong skills in building positive relationships with students and families.
• Knowledge of relevant literacy and math standards for early learners.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the FOCUS on Early Learning Curriculum.

Orientation Dates:

• Two virtual sessions (90 minutes each) – June dates TBD.
• One in-person session (8:00 AM – 3:30 PM) – June date TBD.
